On missing my cat, perhaps vice versa?

My family has owned our cat Buzzie for almost thirteen years. We got her as a little kitten and have seen her grow from this tiny fur-ball to a fifteen pound cat. We’ve picked up I don’t even know how many birds, chipmunks, and moles off of our doorsteps and continue to thank her for them. I’m not quite sure how she still does it, though. At such an old age and heavy weight, sometimes we think she kills her prey by suffocation; either that or she has this area where she stores deceased animals that she’ll bring home and pretend to have caught. Or maybe she truly does catch the animals; my family marvels at the speeds she can reach went she darts across the front garage as a car pulls into the driveway.

She’ll sit on your lap as soon as a movie ends, she’ll take over the pillow when you are about to go to sleep, and she’ll want to be let out as soon as your about to go upstairs. Yes, she’s a great cat. I’m leaving for college soon, and you can ask anyone in the family, I’m going to miss her so much!

In order to deal with missing my cat, I’m definitely bringing along some pictures. Unfortunately, she’s not a dog, so when my family comes to visit, I won’t be able to see her!

A lot of my friends’ pets are in love with my friends. As soon as they go off to college or go away, the pets get really depressed and occasionally, sick. If you know someone with pets is leaving, you should think about the pets. It sounds kind of funny, but I’ve heard of pets who have died out of loneliness and depression because they stopped eating. If a family member leaves, it is important for the others to make up for the lack of attention from that missing family member.

That’s a tough one. I know when I went to college, I missed my cat dearly. My family loved him and gave him all the attention he needed in my absence. I think it helped a little bit to have pictures of him in my dorm room.
